You Season 5: Everything We Know About the Final Chapter

Netflix has unveiled the official teaser for the highly anticipated fifth and final season of You, bringing Joe Goldberg back to where it all began—New York City. The psychological thriller’s last chapter premieres on April 24, promising an intense showdown between Joe’s past and present.

Joe Goldberg’s Killer Homecoming

The upcoming season of You picks up three years after Joe (Penn Badgley) and Kate (Charlotte Ritchie) left London behind. Now, Kate reigns as CEO of Lockwood Corporation, while Joe enjoys a charmed life in the public eye, dubbed “Prince Charming” by admirers. But old habits die hard, and Joe soon finds himself facing both new temptations and long-buried ghosts from his past.

Showrunners Michael Foley and Justin W. Lo confirm that Season 5 will come full circle. “We always said that we would stop after five,” Foley said. “We loved the idea of bringing Joe back home to New York.”

Meet the New Faces

This season of You introduces several intriguing characters who will shape Joe’s fate. The Handmaid’s Tale star Madeline Brewer joins the cast as Bronte, a free-spirited playwright working in Joe’s bookstore, stirring a nostalgic longing for his former self. Anna Camp (True Blood) plays Raegan and Maddie Lockwood, Joe’s powerful twin sisters-in-law—one an ambitious CFO, the other a cunning socialite. Griffin Matthews (Genius) steps in as Teddy Lockwood, Joe’s sharp yet loyal brother-in-law.

Recurring cast members include Natasha Behnam as Dominique, a fiercely loyal artist; b as Phoenix, a resourceful figure seeking purpose; Pete Ploszek as Harrison, an ex-football player navigating family power struggles; Tom Francis as Clayton, a manipulative wannabe author; and Nava Mau as Detective Marquez, who may be onto Joe’s secrets.

A Long-Awaited Reckoning?

Netflix teases that Joe’s past is catching up to him, hinting at a returning character from previous seasons. Fans speculate whether Ellie (Jenna Ortega), Dr. Nicky (John Stamos), or another victim of Joe’s twisted love story will finally deliver justice.

Executive producers Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter reaffirmed their commitment to ending You with a bang. “We’re excited—and a bit terrified—to see how it all ends for Joe Goldberg,” Netflix’s Peter Friedlander added.

When Does You Season 5 Premiere?

All 10 episodes of You Season 5 drop on April 24, 2025, exclusively on Netflix.

Will Joe finally face justice, or will he find a way to escape once again? Fans will have to wait and see when You returns for its epic conclusion.
