‘You’ season three is heating up as the Netflix thriller lands Shalita Grant and Travis Van Winkle as cast members.
There are two new neighbors joining Joe and Love in the suburbs for You season three! The to die for Netflix thriller follows Joe Goldberg (Penn Badgley) who will do anything for love. Those things can include murder, theft, stalking, and so much more. Season two ended with Joe finally meeting his match in Love Quinn (Victoria Pedretti), who is just as murderous as he is. Trapped with the pregnant Love, Joe sets his eyes on a new lady in his life. His next door neighbor.
The ending of season two made it very clear that Joe and Love have moved from inner city Los Angeles to the suburbs. This means (in classic You fashion) that Joe will have to contend with a fresh cast of characters. Luckily, nearly a year after the cliffhanger, we finally have some new info on season three. Netflix has announced that NCIS: New Orleans alumni, Shalita Grant and The Last Ship star, Travis Van Winkle are joining the cast!
Neither of them seem to be playing Joe’s newfound love. However, their characters will contribute majorly to season three. Van Winkle is Cary, a wealthy and charismatic man who invites Joe into his inner circle. Meanwhile, Shalita Grant will play Sherry, a “Mom-fluencer” who appears down to earth, but is actually a mean girl who only pretends to welcome Love into her social circle. It’s already very clear that Joe and Love will have some juicy drama with these characters. Sherry and Love are set up for a deadly catfight over control of the social circle of the neighborhood. Unlike Joe’s obsession from season one, Beck, Love does not have a whole lot of female friends. Cary looks to be a successor to Love Quinn’s brother Forty Quinn (James Scully). Forty was one of the only characters who had sneaking suspicions about Joe, unfortunately he ended up dying for it. Here’s hoping Cary doesn’t meet the same fate. You characters always have something to hide under a seemingly perfect surface. These descriptions are only a taste of who these people will become by the end of the season.
Are you excited for ‘You’ season three? It’s already looking to be ten times more twisted than any season that came before it. If you need to tide yourself over until then, the first two seasons of You are available on Netflix. You can also catch Victoria Pedretti, aka Love Quinn herself, in Netflix’s recently released The Haunting of Bly Manor. Hopefully, we’ll get season three sometime in 2021.
