The cinematic spectacle Wicked is set to begin streaming exclusively on Peacock on March 21, bringing the beloved Broadway hit to screens everywhere. The film, which has garnered 10 Academy Award nominations, including Best Picture, features a star-studded cast led by Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba and Ariana Grande as Glinda.
Fans can experience Wicked in multiple ways, including a Sing-Along Version that lets viewers belt out their favorite tunes from the Land of Oz. Peacock is also offering an extensive collection of behind-the-scenes content, giving audiences an inside look at the film’s journey from stage to screen.
Among the exclusive bonus content is Defying Gravity: The Curtain Rises on Wicked, an NBC special featuring never-before-seen footage and interviews with the cast, including Jonathan Bailey, Michelle Yeoh, Jeff Goldblum, and director Jon M. Chu. Additionally, deleted and extended scenes will showcase moments that didn’t make the final cut, such as Toss Toss, where Glinda gives Elphaba a lesson in charm, and Palace Monkeys Chase, an action-packed sequence with winged monkeys.
Peacock subscribers will also have access to in-depth featurettes exploring the film’s production, choreography, and legacy, as well as podcast episodes with director Jon M. Chu and cinematographer Alice Brooks. You can learn more via Peacock‘s website.
As part of its 2025 film lineup, Peacock will continue to stream some of Universal’s biggest titles, including Conclave, The Wild Robot, and Nosferatu. But for now, it’s time to return to Oz and witness the untold story of the witches in Wicked, exclusively on Peacock starting March 21.
