Just when you think Larry’s luck may change, life comes by to remind him that he’s never in charge. Larry encounters a professional crier who cons him out of a mink stole that belonged to his mother. If that wasn’t bad enough, Larry also receives a blow-up doll in the mail. With rumors going around that he’s getting “rather friendly” with the doll, Larry entrusts Leon to deflate and destroy the doll.Meanwhile after being put on the spot to give a rave review to a play starring Clive Owen, Larry gives a positive review that was seen as “Substandard” from Clive.

On the season finale of Curb Your Enthusiasm, Larry is seeing his spite store, “Latte Larry’s” flourish. In fact, his store has lead to “Spite Stores” appearing all over town. For a while, it seems as if his coffee shop is invincible, but that notion is short lived as Latte Larry’s ultimately burns down in a fire. Meanwhile Mocha Joe connects with Alice as soon as they learn they have a common enemy in Larry and opt to sue him for damages.
