90 Day Recap:
Melanie met Devar while she was on vacation at a Jamaican resort where Devar worked as a lifeguard. He proposed to her before the end of her vacation and the couple started the process to bring Devar over to America.
The two seemed very much in love, and Devar got on famously with Melanie’s son, but Melanie’s sister Bev wasn’t so sure that Devar was there for the right reasons. Through an intense round of questioning, Bev and Melanie discovered that Devar was planning on sending a large amount of the money he made, once he got a job, back to his family in Jamaica, something Melanie was not ok with.
However, despite the setback, the couple made it through and ended up saying “I do” by the end of the 90 days.
After their stint on the show, the couple returned to 90 Day Fiancé: What Now? to update their fans on their life.
Devar ended up going away to school to become an underwater welder, and they mentioned they were looking into starting a family.
The family then returned to the franchise for 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After in 2018. The couple had given birth to their daughter, Avah, in November of 2017. Devar was stressed over his new role as a father and Melanie alluded to Devar having a drinking problem, something that made fans extremely concerned.
Where are they now?:
Since their time on the reality show, the internet has broken out with rumors that the couple had ended things.
Thankfully the internet is wrong the couple is still going strong and Devar has now completed his training for underwater welding. Melanie has gotten a promotion at her own work, and their daughter Avah has taken the internet and fans’ hearts.
They are reportedly thinking about adding another child to their family and are happy living their lives and raising their daughter.
