While plot details remain shrouded in mystery, we do know that Joaquin Phoenix will star as the town sheriff opposite Pedro Pascal playing the town’s mayor, who share a rivalry. On March 12, 2024, A24’s posted a photo on Instagram of a film slate with the title Eddington, confirming the movie was in production, and reportedly wrapped in May 2024. We can’t wait to see Eddington, considering all the amazing talent in front of and behind the camera!

Materialists

Pedro Pascal is set to dive into the romantic comedy genre for the first time with A24’s upcoming film Materialists. Pedro Pascal is set to star in Materialists alongside Dakota Johnson and Chris Evans. Set in New York City, Materialists follows a successful matchmaker, played by Dakota Johnson, caught in a love triangle between her perceived perfect match and her ex-boyfriend, who will be played by Pedro Pascal and Chris Evans. Although we don’t know who will play what roles in Materialists, Pedro Pascal lovingly announced the film had wrapped in a June 7, 2024 Instagram post of him with Chris Evans, Dakota Johnson, and director Celine Song captioned “Moon me. #Materialists #NewYorkCity #CelineSong That’s a wrap.” A release date has not been announced at the time of writing the article, but fans of Pedro Pascal are hoping for a 2025 release after filming wrapped in June!
