Netflix’s smash hit Wednesday will be returning for another season! Season 2 of Wednesday will continue to follow Wednesday Addams’ supernatural journey while she attends Nevermore Academy. Jenna Ortega will of course be returning in the titular role, along with Season 1 cast members like Catherine Zeta-Jones (Morticia Addams), Luis Guzmán (Gomez Addams), and Emma Myers (Enid Sinclair)! Wednesday started filming in Ireland in April 2024, and is expected to be finished sometime in November 2024, but that’s not all! Netflix has announced Wednesday Season 2 will feature Steve Buscemi (Boardwalk Empire) as the new principal of Nevermore Academy and Haley Joel Osment (Blink Twice) will guest star this season! Netflix confirmed Wednesday Season 2 will be coming to the platform in 2025 in a behind the scenes video released in September 2024. We can’t wait to see more of this Emmy-nominated series!

Sony’s 3000 Pictures announced in May 2021 that they would be adapting Kazuo Ishiguro’s New York Times best-selling novel Klara And The Sun for the big screen. Klara and the Sun is a heartwarming story about a special AI robot named Klara who forms a deep bond with the sick girl named Josie she is tasked with caring for. Jenna Ortega has been cast to play the lead Klara, and that is just the start of this star-studded cast! Oscar-nominated actress Amy Adams will be playing Josie’s mother and Natasha Lyonne (Poker Face) will be playing the shopkeeper. Josie will be played by Mia Tharia and Taika Waititi (Jojo Rabbit) has also been tapped to direct the film. Although no release date has been announced, filming began in January 2024 and wrapped before Jenna Ortega went to film Wednesday Season 2. Fans are hopeful Klara and the Sun will get a 2025 release date scheduled soon! Death of a Unicorn is a black comedy about the confusion after the accidental death of a certain mythical creature. Jenna Ortega will star alongside Paul Rudd as a father-daughter duo that accidentally kill a unicorn while driving to his company retreat. Chaos ensues after the dad’s billionaire boss, played by Saltburn’s Richard E. Grant, wants to capitalize on the unicorn’s powers. Also joining the cast in unknown roles are Will Poulter (The Bear), Anthony Carrigan (Barry), and Sunita Mani (GLOW). Death of a Unicorn wrapped shooting at the end of summer 2024, so fans can expect updates soon! This secretive Jenna Ortega project finally got some exciting updates! After a year of rumors, Lionsgate announced on November 4, 2024 they would be distributing Hurry Up Tomorrow worldwide! Hurry Up Tomorrow’s title was not even known before this announcement. Hurry Up Tomorrow is a thriller written and directed by Trey Edward Shults based on an idea by The Weeknd (Abel Tesfaye). The Weeknd is set to make his silver screen-debut in Hurry Up Tomorrow alongside Jenna Ortega and Barry Keoghan. We know the film will be a psychological thriller, but right now other details are still under wraps. Hurry Up Tomorrow has wrapped filming and Lionsgate’s distribution deal is a good sign for fans who are excited for Jenna Ortega’s next horror film!

The Gallerist promises dark comedy and intrigue as it follows a desperate art dealer who tries to sell a dead body as a work of art at Art Basel Miami. Deadline reported that Jenna Ortega and Natalie Portman are reportedly in talks to star in The Gallerist. MountainA, Sophie Mas and Natalie Portman’s production company, is also in talks to co-produce the film. The project has not started filming yet, so this could be Jenna Ortega’s next project in 2025 if deals go through! There’s not much else known about The Gallerist right now, but we know we’d love to see Jenna Ortega play a part!
