Vanderpump Rules is returning for a new season and things may be different than they were in the past. Here is what we know so far.
After months of speculation and spin-off rumors, Bravo confirmed the show will be returning for a 10th season. Filming has officially begun and according to the cast, this season will be completely different. There have been many changes in the VPR universe since the Season 9 reunion in January 2022. Scroll to find out what these SURvers have revealed about the upcoming season.
All The Season 9 Cast Members Will Return
Lala Kent, James Kennedy, Katie Maloney, Tom Schwartz, Raquel Leviss, Tom Sandoval, Ariana Madix, Scheana Shay, Brock Davies and Charli Burnett will appear in season 10. Although the cast has remained the same, many of the relationship statuses have not. Sandoval revealed to E! News in March 2022, that Season 10 would “be a s–t show as usual” after several of his co-stars went through breakups.
Katie Maloney and Tom Schwartz Have Split
Katie Maloney and Tom Schwartz announced their split in March 2022 after being together for over a decade. According to Schwartz, the season will show how his life got “flipped upside-down” amid his divorce. He told Us Weekly in July, “I was in a position in which I thought I was about to have kids.” Season 10 will be the first time these two have been single on the show. Raquel said to Page Six that the split has changed the dynamic in their friend group, but in June Katie responded to the claim on Instagram stating, “We literally told them there’s no sides to pick. I have felt that some people have on their own done that for whatever reason but Tom and I are still friends so whatever.”

Lala Kent is Single
While Katie and Schwartz may not want their friends to choose sides, Lala has different feelings about her co-stars associating with ex-fiancé Randall Emmet. Lala ended her 5-year relationship with the film producer in October 2021 after discovering he was cheating. When Schwartz was spotted hanging out with Randall after the divorce, Lala decided to excommunicate him. She explained her choice to “cut him out” on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen in April 2022, “I’m not the type of person to say, like, ‘You have to pick a side,’ but in this situation, if you don’t pick my side or you remain Switzerland, like, I want nothing to do with you.” Katie spoke to Us Weekly about Lala cutting off Schwartz stating,“If that’s how she wants to do it, then I can’t fault her for that.” Like with Katie, viewers have not seen a single Lala for quite some time. Now that she has been separated for nearly a year, Lala is ready to jump back into the dating pool.
James and Raquel Will Still Be Filming Together
The Season 9 reunion was an emotional one for James and Raquel, who shared with the group that they were ending their engagement and 5-year relationship. In March 2022, James and his new girlfriend Ally Lewber made their red carpet debut, although there’s been no word on whether she will make an appearance on the show. Raquel admitted that filming with her ex is going to be a tad bit awkward. She shared in July 2022 on her co-star’s podcast Scheana’s Scheananigans, “It’s going to be a different dynamic this time.” She added, “and we haven’t hung out since the breakup, so it’s definitely going to be a different kind of situation than I’m used to.”
Schwartz & Sandys Has Opened
The Toms have finally finished their new cocktail lounge and restaurant, Schwartz & Sandy’s after quite some time. Schwartz explained on Scheana’s Scheananigans, “For better or for worse, me and Tom were involved in every single decision, hence the reason it took a year and a half to open.”He also admitted about the new restaurant, “It almost tore our friendship apart.” Though VPR has gone through its fair share of split couples and friend breakups in recent months, Sandoval assured E! News that he and Ariana are “going strong” and that he and Schwartz hosted the grand opening on July 19. This means the new bar, and all the drama that’s sure to come, will be featured in the upcoming season.

Potential Wedding Bells
Scheana and Brock got engaged on-screen during Season 9 in July 2022. In February 2022, Scheana teased that their wedding would likely be filmed if the timing lined up. “We don’t know anything about next season yet, but if this happens to fall in the timeline of filming then absolutely. We would welcome [it].” She updated E! News on her wedding plans earlier this year, revealing that the couple’s nuptials will be held in Mexico this August. Only time will tell whether cameras will be rolling, but fans are definitely eager for another VPR wedding.
