In 2021, Burgess spent time working on a musical adaptation of Whitney Houston’s film The Preacher’s Wife. Burgess wrote all of the original music for the production, with hopes the show will premiere on Broadway.
We would do anything to see this production, and we are so unbelievably happy for Titus.
Ellie Kemper
Kemper will be starring in the Happiness for Beginners adaptation exclusive to Netflix, with production for the new drama ending in November. We can’t wait for more details on the flick, and to continue to see Ellie shine.
Jane Krakowski
Jane Krakowski is joining NBC’s Annie Live!, playing Lily St. Regis alongside her Kimmy Schmidt co-star, Titus Burgess.
Carol Kane
Kane has been laying low in terms of TV and movies since her last Kimmy Schmidt appearance in 2019. She deserves a break after the awe-inspiring career she has made for herself, and we can’t wait to see what she does in the future.
Amy Sedaris
After starring in Bojack Horseman as Princess Carolyn until 2020, writing and starring in At Home with Amy Sedaris, and making her debut in Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Sedaris is also taking a much-needed break.
