Gothic mayhem returns for a second season this August as Wednesday Addams faces new enemies and darker mysteries at Nevermore Academy.
Mark your calendars and sharpen those wit-daggers—Wednesday is back this summer for a spine-tingling sophomore season. Netflix has announced that Wednesday Season 2 will be released in two parts, with Part 1 (Episodes 201–204) premiering on August 6, 2025, and Part 2 (Episodes 205–208) dropping on September 3, 2025.
The fan-favorite series follows the deliciously deadpan Wednesday Addams, played once again by the inimitable Jenna Ortega, as she returns to the haunted halls of Nevermore Academy. But this time, there are fresh foes, deeper mysteries, and even more chaos. Between family tension, old enemies, and new supernatural threats, Wednesday’s second year promises more dark delights than ever before.
The creative team that brought the first season to life is back in full force. Co-creators and showrunners Alfred Gough and Miles Millar return as writers and executive producers. Legendary filmmaker Tim Burton also returns to direct multiple episodes (201, 204, 207, and 208) and executive produce the new season. Directors Paco Cabezas (Episodes 202 and 203) and Angela Robinson (Episodes 205 and 206) also join the eerie ensemble behind the camera.
The cast is as stacked as ever. In addition to Jenna Ortega, series regulars include Emma Myers, Steve Buscemi, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzmán, Isaac Ordonez, Joy Sunday, Billie Piper, Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo, Moosa Mostafa, Georgie Farmer, Victor Dorobantu, Evie Templeton, Owen Painter, Noah B. Taylor, and Hunter Doohan. Guest stars this season are a who’s who of creepy and kooky, including Jamie McShane, Joanna Lumley, Joonas Suatamo, Fred Armisen, Christopher Lloyd, Thandiwe Newton, Heather Matarazzo, and Frances O’Connor.
