Anti-binge watching? No problem! We have compiled a list of twelve of Comedy Central’s Broad City episodes you can watch on their own!
Comedians Ilana Glazer and Abbi Jacobson starred, created, directed, and have written Broad City with the help of producer Amy Poehler. The series follows a pair of besties, Abbi and Ilana, who are figuring out life in their 20s while living in New York. If you haven’t seen it already, check out these twelve episodes anytime, anywhere, and in any order!
Season 1, Episode 2 – P*$$y Weed
As we get to know Abbi and Ilana, we quickly learn how open they are to smoking weed. However, things begin to get chaotic when Abbi supplies herself with her OWN weed for the first time. This happens to be the same day Ilana decides she is going to officially be an independent adult and file her taxes without the help of her parents. Season 1, Episode 3 – Working Girls
Ilana is short on cash and not having it, so she takes on a temp job as a dog walker and it’s far from what she expected. Abbi on the other hand, promises her hot neighbor she will wait for his package to be delivered at the door while he’s out of town and ends up on North Brother Island, an abandoned island next to the Rikers Island prison complex in an attempt to retrieve it.
Season 1, Episode 4 – The Lockout
It’s another day in NYC, Abbi bug bombs her apartment while Ilana loses the keys to hers. Both girls are in a time crunch as they get ready for Abbi’s first art gallery to showcase, but are stuck waiting for the locksmith. He ends up being the creepiest man they’ve ever interacted with; causing them to give him a fake name and hoping for the best.
Season 1, Episode 6 – Stolen Phone
The girls decide they have been trying to meet guys online for far too long! They challenge themselves to live “IRL” in an attempt to meet guys organically. After meeting a cute guy at the bar who says she’ll text her, Abbi loses her phone. Ilana on the other hand meets a guy but quickly ends up getting the ick after going to one of his improv comedy shows.
Season 2, Episode 3 – Wisdom Teeth
Ilana gets the privilege to babysit Abbi post wisdom teeth removal alongside Jaime, Ilana’s roommate. Ilana and Jaime are given specific instructions to give Abbi two Vicodin every four hours but end up giving her four at the same time when they don’t realize the other person has already given her medication. Season 2, Episode 5 – Hashtag FOMO
Who hasn’t gotten a case of FOMO before? After Abbi FaceTimes Ilana with a new nose piercing, Ilana realizes how much she misses out on. Later that day, Abbi and Ilana try to find the best party of the night and end up discovering Val instead. Ilana figures out that FOMO isn’t a real concept after Val tells her, “You are always worried about missing out on life. You never bother to actually live”. Check her out!
Season 3, Episode 3 – Game Over
Ilana and Abbi are working women! Ilana and her co-workers prepare as financial investors and visit the office. Ilana is given the responsibility of running the company’s Twitter account, Abbi however, has been recently promoted and is participating in employee field day known as The Solstice Games. Both of their days end up taking a turn for the worst in their own ways.
Season 4, Episode 4 – Mushrooms
Abbi and Ilana have a free day in the city, so what’s a better way to spend it than on shrooms, right? Their day makes for an interesting day later on and an even more interesting episode as most of it is animated!
Season 4, Episode 9 – Bedbugs
Abbi is struggling with unemployment while Ilana is thriving with her newfound cash from her waitressing job. Ilana and Jaime deal with the inevitable NYC nightmare: bedbugs. To make up for Abbi’s recent job disappointment, Ilana gifts her with an expensive one-of-a-kind bag she has been eyeing lately.
Season 5, Episode 1 – Stories
It’s Abbi’s 30th birthday! She and Ilana spend the day in Manhattan and vlog their entire day via Instagram stories. They decide to go from the “tippity-top of Manhattan to the tippity-bottom” and end up at the mall with a missing child. By the end of the day, they find themselves having to run away from mall security, check it out.
Season 5, Episode 2 – SheWork and S**t Bucket
Ilana is off with her latest business venture, SheWork, a company that focuses on letting individuals rent an outdoor space allowing them to smoke when they please as they work. The business also happens to be very illegal but that’s beside the point, take a look below.
Season 5, Episode 3 – Bitcoin & The Missing Girl
Ilana convinces Abbi that time is money and Abbi has been missing out on both. She decides to save time by getting her laundry done but when the laundry is done and Abbi’s favorite sweatshirt goes missing, she creates flyers for it causing New Yorkers to think she’s gone missing rather than her sweater. Ilana on the other hand, remembers an old hookup of hers that gave her a third of his Bitcoin that she hasn’t touched. To complete her new look as an “investor”, Ilana purchases the most matrix-looking outfit she can find. Look at her go!
