Troye Sivan’s most recent music videos have been all going viral. Most recently “Rush” and “One of Your girls” have taken the music video industry by storm. They’ve been posted and reposted more times than we can count and generated buzz not just in his fan base, but all over the internet. Troye Sivan is clearly a well of not only musical talent, but visual talent as well, and has music videos that aren’t quite as recent that have over hundred of millions of views. So here are 5 of Troye Sivan’s most popular music videos that you should definitely watch.

Dance to This ft. Ariana Grande
217M views

Dance to Thisis an upbeat romantic song, which is all the more reason for the choice that the music video to take place in a stuffy youth center full of teens who couldn’t care less made it instantly iconic. Ariana Grande and Troye Sivan get on stage together and sing their hearts out, until everybody else disappears and they are left on their own with the music. Until it is revealed that this song was just playing in Troye Sivan’s headphones the whole time, and he is all alone. The video makes the song feel special; it takes over your world until you are transported into one entirely of your own. The music is contagious, Ariana and Troye know that, and now we do too.

YOUTH
193M views

YOUTHis a completely different vibe from “Dance to This, in the sense that it is a party song. Meant as a youth anthem and almost terrifyingly catchy, this music video is set at, well, a party! Troye Sivan dances in the hallways surrounded by fairy lights, and all throughout the house with his peers. They are lit up by colorful neon pinks and blues as they participate in all the things that are made so much better by youngness: getting piercings, flirting, and dancing. Troye Sivan even lies in a bed full of stuffed animals, bridging the gap between fleeting childhood and approaching adulthood, as he completely gives into youth for the night.

My My My!

My My My!” is one of Troye Sivan’s most experimental visual music videos because of the way he uses color. The video starts with Troye Sivan dancing alone in a warehouse and is completely devoid of color. Everything is black and white and very minimal, but the lights are crucial throughout the whole video and flash on and off continually. Then all of a sudden all of the colors that were missing before flood in, along with other people, and the video turns into a colorful, grungy, flashing dance video. “My My My!” plays with light and withholding and releasing in a way that is completely original and unique to the song, and is definitely a much watch.

Fools (Blue Neighbourhood Part 2/3)

Fools” is a much more serious music video than a lot of Troye Sivan’s other projects. “Fools” tells a story in its video. Troye Sivan is a boy who is, quite simply, in love with another boy. The other boy feels pressure from his father who is violent and cruel to stop seeing Troye Sivan and gives in to this pressure, leaving Troye Sivan alone in the wake of their tumultuous time together. The video is heartbreaking, but it is also beautiful, and leaves us all with a message about what can happen when you fall for the wrong person.

Angel Baby
59M views

While technically just a visualizer, the music video for “Angel Baby” sets the visual tone for the entire song. The constant shots of Troye Sivan show us the raw and naked tone of the song, as well as the fact that Troye Sivan himself is the angel baby. The video has an almost magical quality to it, and while simple, the visual aspects of it are rich and powerful. If you listen toAngel Baby”, the experience is absolutely incomplete without watching this video as well.
