Plot

Trap is everyone’s worst nightmare, being surrounded, and trapped without a means of escape! A father and his teen daughter attend a Lady Raven concert only to realize they’ve entered well… a trap. Trap is classified as a psychological thriller that investigates the serial killer named Cooper, “The Butcher” as he realizes that the concert is really a trap set by law enforcement to try to catch him!

Trap stars actor Josh Hartnett and he has proven his talent in all of his past releases! If you are not familiar with Josh Hartnett, maybe you will remember him in Oppenheimer, Lucky Number Slevin, or 30 Days of Night! Joining Josh Hartnett on screen is Hayley Mills, playing Dr. Grant, and Ariel Donoghue playing Riley! These are other huge names adding to this studded cast!

Trap is written and directed by ​​the one and only, M. Night Shyamalan! You may know this name from his past works such as Old, Knock at the Cabin, The Visit, and Split! With M. Night Shyamalan’s amazing lineup, we are sure that Trap is to stop us in our tracks! He also cast his daughter, Saleka Shyamalan, as Lady Raven which makes him the best dad ever!

The 2024 film Trap was produced by Blinding Edge Pictures and distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures worldwide in theaters! With this studded cast and crew, we are sure that Trap is going to knock our socks off!

It is Trap week everyone and the fans are ready! Fans of thrillers, Josh Hartnett, and Shyamalan all have been itching for this release! Though there have been mixed reviews about M. Night Shyamalan’s past films, everyone is ready for this upcoming thrill!

Critic Reviews

Though there are no ratings out for Trap just yet, critics are seemingly in love with this thriller! Reviews range from masterpieces to absolute bangers and there is nothing much in between!  Screen Rant’s Joseph Deckelmeier praised Shyamalan’s “masterclass in building suspense” and Josh Hartnett’s acting as “captivating” which is exactly what every trap needs! 

Though many argue that M. Night Shyamalan’s projects never went out of style, Chris Gallardo of The Hollywood Handle praises the movie as “a fun thriller that’s a return to form for M. Night Shyamalan“!
