5. Sympathy For The Devil – 50th Anniversary Edition
The number five song on this list is a classic Rolling Stones song, that everyone is sure to have heard at one time or another, and that is “Sympathy For The Devil”. Released in 1968 on the Beggars Banquet album, “Sympathy For The Devil” stands as the first track on the album. With the vocals by Mick Jagger, it is sung as a first person point of view story, going through events from the history of human existence, with Mick Jagger playing the role of Satan. The song received very mixed reviews for it being performed from the devils point of view, but is well loved by the masses today with slightly over 618,000,000 streams on Spotify.

4. Gimme Shelter
Next up is one of many fan favorites for The Rolling Stones, and that is “Gimme Shelter”. This song is featured as the opening track on the Let It Bleed album released in 1969, and it is said to be about the Vietnam War, according to the band. This is due to the fact that it was a major global event during the time, and The Rolling Stones wanted to focus on that through their music, especially on this album and track. “Gimme Shelter” has also been used several times in the history of film since its release, and it is deeply loved by director Martin Scorsese, who has used it in more than just one of his films. “Gimme Shelter” currently has over 655,000,000 streams on Spotify.

3. Start Me Up – Remastered 2009
Coming in third on this list is “Start Me Up”, a well known classic for The Rolling Stones, that is also the first track featured on the album Tattoo You, released in 1981. “Start Me Up” had an interesting history being made, as it was worked on for several years, originally as more of a reggae song, that was re-worked and eventually turned into the song people know and love today. It took Mick Jagger and Keith Richards both giving their best and unique thoughts to come together to deliver the final product. “Start Me Up – Remastered 2009” currently has over 720,700,000 streams on Spotify.
