Ten years can seem like a distant memory, but some of our favorite lovable romantic comedies such as Love, Rosie, The Last Five Years, and About Last Night all turn ten this year! 

Ten years ago our world was blessed with these amazing romances and we have never been the same! Though there are so many amazing releases from 2014, but, here are the top ten romantic comedies that were released a decade ago!

10 – Two Night Stand

Two Night Stand stars Miles Teller and Lio Tipton after an extremely regrettable, yet not forgettable one-night stand! These two strangers wake up to find themselves snowed in with no sign of escaping! Now they are trapped together in his tiny apartment, forced to get to know each other way more than any one-night stand should. Will they run each other ragged or will they give it another shot? 

Two Night Stand had a limited theatrical release on September 26, 2014, before heading to streaming! With a 38% Critic and 45% Audience score from Rotten Tomatoes, a 4.5 on Metacritic, and a 6.3 on IMDb, the final score is 47.75!

Ask Me Anything was released in the early months of 2014, on April 19, 2014! This rom-com stars Britt Robertson, Molly Hagan, Andy Buckley, and Christian Slater! Britt Robertson shined in this film earning the award for Best Actress and the 2014 Nashville Film Festival! Ask Me Anything follows a confused teenager who writes a blog revealing her daily activities after being advised to do so by her high school guidance counselor after moving to her first year in college! As you may know, college can get messy, and here is no different! The film was given a 64% critic and 40% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes, a 3.4 on Metacritic, and a 7.0 on IMDB giving it a final score of 52!

8 – Sex Ed

Sex Ed, different from Netflix’s Sex Education that you may know and love, follows Eddie after he lands his first teaching gig at an inner-city middle school! After realizing that his high students are receiving no form of sexual education, Eddie goes off lesson plan anyway, delving into the world of menstrual cycles and STIs! All the while he’s falling in love with the older sister of one of his students. What could possibly go wrong? 

Sex Ed is the only movie to be released by the film company Sweet Tomato Films and was, released on November 7, 2014. It stars Haley Joel Osment, Lorenza Izzo, Kevin Balmore, and Glen Powell! The film was given a 31% critic and 64% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes, a 4.4 on Metacritic, and a 7.1 on IMDb giving it a final score of 52.5!

7 – Love, Rosie

If you are a fan of the iconic friends-to-lovers trope, then Love, Rosie is just for you! Rosie and Alex have been best friends since they were five years old! As they go through life they just end up getting separated time and time again! They could never be together, they’re too close! When will they realize they are meant to be together? 

Love, Rosie stars Lily Collins and Sam Claflin. This perfect pair made their debut on October 17th, 2014, and have never gone out of style! With a 66% critic and 42% audience score from Rotten Tomatoes, a 5.1 on Metacritic, and a 6.3 on IMDb, the final score is 55.5!

6 – The Rewrite

The Rewrite follows an Oscar-winning writer played by the one-the-only Hugh Grant as he is in a slump. This setup is exactly what we are all looking for in any rom-com! 

Everyone knows that Hugh Grant is a wizz in any romantic comedy and The Rewrite is no different! This lovable relationship was released on June 14, 2014, at the Shanghai International Film Festival and remains a favorite to many. This film was given a 45% Audience score on Rotten Tomatoes, a 6.3 on Metacritic, and a 6.0 on IMDb, scoring this film a 56 overall!

5 – They Came Together

Who wouldn’t love a rom-com with everyone’s favorites Paul Rudd and Amy Poehler? They Came Together follows Molly who owns a quaint little sweet shop and Joel who works for a gigantic candy company threatening to shut her down. How convenient? They hilariously discuss how they meet, fall in love, break up, to eventually get back together in this rom-com spoof! 

They Came Together was released back on September 2, 2014, and we can not move on from this quirky twist on the classic romantic comedy! There is nothing funnier than actively making fun of the movie genre you are portraying!
