Times Rihanna Challenge Beauty Standards Using Her Platform

From music superstar to beauty influencer Rihanna champions inclusivity and transforms beauty standards with her platform.

Rihanna is not just a music superstar; she’s also making waves in the beauty industry. Her beauty brand, Fenty, has quickly become a household name, known for its focus on inclusivity and affordability. Growing up, Rihanna was captivated by makeup, but as she entered the entertainment world, she noticed that beauty standards often didn’t reflect her own experience. This realization inspired her to use her platform to celebrate diversity and empower everyone to feel beautiful. Here are times Rihanna used her platform to challenge beauty standards

Raising the Bar in Beauty: Fenty Beauty line

When Rihanna debuted her Fenty Beauty line in September 2017, she revolutionized the beauty industry. Known as the “Fenty Effect,” her foundation range set a new benchmark for diversity and inclusion, proving that a wide variety of skin tones should be represented. She expanded her original foundation collection to include 50 shades and introduced a concealer line with the same variety. This shift has led consumers to expect extensive shade options from all beauty brands, prompting both new and established companies to broaden their foundation lines.
