“The Rock” has the ultimate cheat meal to make your holiday slurry and spiked…..We mean Merry and Bright.
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has been making serious business moves during the Covid-19 pandemic. This holiday season, the actor and businessman is putting on the red hat and an altered red suit after partnering with Salt & Straw for a limited edition dessert.
The self proclaimed Dwanta Claus announced his new limited-edition Teremana Spiked Eggnog ice cream. The actor paired the silky, sweet, frozen custard with his own tequila. The holiday flavor is one of five in Johnson’s “Naughty, Nice & Spiked” pint pack. Salt & Straw included their original Double Fold Vanilla and Chocolate Gooey Brownie in the pack along with Johnson’s 2019 flavors, I Saw Mommy Kissing Dwanta Claus, and The Rock’n Around the Christmas Tree flavors.
The pint five-pack is available on line for $65 with featured handwritten labels by the former WWE wrestler. For every pint of Teremana Spiked Eggnog sold through December 31st, $1 will be donated to chef Jose Andres’ World Central Kitchen’s Restaurants for the People program. The program assists the fight against hunger throughout the world. Teremana Tequila will also join in on the cause and match every $1 donated.
The partnership comes only months after Johnson launched Teremana Tequila. The company planned to have a large launch, but 2020 had other plans in mind. Johnson and business partner Dany Garcia announced the launch of the company just before Covid-19 caused a global lockdown in March.
Many businesses have felt the financial burden of the Covid-19 Pandemic, but by chance Johnson set himself up for success after acquiring a stake in Salt & Straw last December.
The Rock posted to his Instagram about the ice cream saying, “May your cheat meals be merry, spiked and bright this holiday season!”
“We had some fun creating our new Teremana Tequila infused flavor and more importantly, we are honored to support the incredible work done at World Central Kitchen and their efforts to end hunger and poverty,” Johnson said in an interview to People.
