The cast of ‘Pretty Little Liars’: Where Are They Now?

It has been almost 5 years since we left the characters of Pretty Little Liars in Rosewood, so let’s take a look at what the cast has been up to since then.

Premiering all the way back in 2010, Pretty Little Liars grew to be the teen drama phenomenon of the 2010s. From dodging the obstacles of “A”, to the budding romances, to the subtle comedy within the script, fans became extremely attached to the show. Pretty Little Liars was so popular that spin-offs such as Ravenswood, and Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists were created. Now, coming this year is the third spin-off, Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin will be premiering later in 2022. Let’s take a look at what the OG cast has been up to since their curtain call almost 5 years ago.

Shay Mitchell

Shay Mitchell, starring as Emily Fields, the sporty, calm, and collected character out of all the girls in the group, has continued to stay busy post Pretty Little Liars. She has continued her acting career by starring in several TV shows and films such as You, Dreamland, Mother’s Day, The Possession of Hannah Grace, Dollface, and Trese. In 2018, she started a travel brand called BÉIS, where she sells all types of travel necessities such as luggage, bags, and other accessories. She also is a part of Onda, a tequila seltzer company that is inspired by the surf style of the 90s. In her personal life, Mitchell gave birth to her first daughter, Atlas in 2019 and recently announced she is expecting her second child.

Lucy Hale

Starring as Aria Montgomery, the artsy and alternative one of the group, Lucy Hale has continued to build on her extensive acting career. Upon the end of Pretty Little Liars, Hale has starred in several movies and television shows such as Life Sentence, Truth or Dare, Dude, The Unicorn, Katy Keene, and Fantasy Island, and The Hating Game, among many more. In May of 2020, Hale announced she would be a brand ambassador for the makeup brand Almay. She now has a collection of must haves on their website. Outside of her professional accomplishments, Hale is a proud dog mom to Elvis and Ethel and loves to show them off on social media.

Troian Bellisario

Known as the smart, feisty, and driven character, Troian Bellisario portrayed Spencer Hastings in Pretty Little Liars. She herself expanded on her acting career, starring in television show Ways & Means and appeared in Stumptown. In 2017. She also produced, wrote, and starred in a film called Feed, based off of her experiences with an eating disorder. In her personal life, Bellisario married actor Patrick J. Adams in 2016, and now have two daughters, Aurora and Elliot.

Ashley Benson

Ashley Benson’s character, Hanna Marin was known as the “it girl” after Alison’s disappearance, who formerly was made fun of for being overweight. After Pretty Little Liars, Benson continued to do some acting in films such as Her Smell and The Birthday Cake. She currently is a partner with Hempz, a skincare, body care, and hair care company. Benson has also done many fashion photoshoots such as Cosmopolitan, Reserved Magazine, Vanity Fair, and more.

Sasha Pieterse Sheaffer

Alison DiLaurentis was the center of Pretty Little Liars, beginning the series as a missing girl and have a connection to every single plot line. After the original series finished, Pieterse Sheaffer starred in the spin off Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists, still as Alison DiLaurentis, but in a town Beacon Heights, instead of Rosewood. It was also announced that she will star in an upcoming Netflix show, Ivy & Bean, an adaptation of the book series. In 2019, she came out with a cook book entitled, Sasha In Good Taste: Recipes for Bites, Feasts, Sips, and Celebrations. In her personal life, Pieterse Sheaffer got married in 2018 to Hudson Sheaffer. The two had a son, Hendrix in November of 2020.
