Series creator Eric Kripke has been vocal about wanting to bring Jared Padalecki into the The Boys universe. In a past interview, he even joked about wanting to “complete” his Supernatural cast collection. The show has already featured several Supernatural alumni, including Jim Beaver, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, and Rob Benedict.

Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles led Supernatural for 15 seasons before the show ended in 2020, while Misha Collins was a series regular for 12 seasons. Their addition to The Boys comes as the show gears up for its final chapter, which is currently in production.

The Boys stars Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, and more, with Jensen Ackles returning as Soldier Boy. Meanwhile, the franchise continues to expand, with the college-set spinoff Gen V getting renewed for a second season and the upcoming animated project Vought Rising starring Jared Padalecki.
