We all know Clayton is the current bachelor but was he the fan’s first choice? Here is who Bachelor Nation really wanted to be on this season of The Bachelor!
Andrew Spencer
A contestant on Katie Thurston’s season, Andrew was a fan-favorite from day one. Greg Grippo
Bachelor Nation seemed to be divided when it came to Greg, Katie Thurston’s first-impression rose recipient: you either loved him or you hated him. He won Katie (and much of America) over from the very beginning of his time on The Bachelorette, leading many to believe he might get his own season of The Bachelor following his self-elimination from Katie’s season. It was rumored that he also was offered and declined the Bachelor role.

Ben was a top-two contestant on Bachelorette Tayshia Adams’ season. Fans were left broken-hearted following his elimination and hoped he would be given another chance to find love in the Bachelor franchise.

Michael Allio

Fans hoped Michael A. could work something out so he could become the Bachelor while still spending time with his son.

Honorable Mention: Someone New to the Franchise
