Toronto born, L.A.-based Tara Macri’s debut single “Strawberry Moon” immediately caught the attention of pop music critics with it’s “alterna-pop” flavor and “giant melodies”. Garnering raves from KTLA, Pop On And On, Metro, and airplay from radio tastemakers.
Encouraged by her musically inclined family, Tara was introduced to the piano at the age of two and instantly fell in love with the ivory keys. Tara’s devotion to rock, r&b, and pop music, only reinforced what was previously a dream. Singing, writing, and performing are her passion and the ultimate journey.
After refining her acting skills at the prestigious Stratford Festival, and in the process received the esteemed Mary Savage Award, Tara Macri faced the bright lights of New York City. Tara starred on Broadway in the critically acclaimed production of Hairspray, followed by a performance at the famed Hollywood Bowl alongside friend Nick Jonas. Tara’s tenacity, drive, and incomparable voice have taken her from Toronto to New York, Chicago (performing in the acclaimed production Jersey Boys) to settling down her musical roots in the city of Angels. Performing in Los Angeles with friend and guitarist Kenji Chan (Bruno Mars), Tara is ready for her distinct voice to be heard.
