The 2025 Super Bowl halftime show is set to dazzle audiences with a powerhouse duo as multi-Grammy-winning artist SZA joins Kendrick Lamar on stage.
The announcement came through a trailer released by Kendrick Lamar and Apple Music, showcasing the rapper walking across a football field before SZA playfully joins him in a moment of excitement. The performance will take place on February 9 at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.
SZA and Kendrick Lamar share a rich musical history, having collaborated on tracks like the Oscar-nominated “All the Stars” and “Doves in the Wind.” SZA also appeared on Kendrick Lamar’s recent album GNX, contributing to tracks like “Gloria” and “Luther,” which features samples from Luther Vandross and Cheryl Lynn’s classic “If This World Were Mine.”
The pair’s chemistry extends beyond the halftime show, as they’re set to co-headline the 19-city Grand National Tour this spring and summer. The tour kicks off on April 19 in Minneapolis and wraps up on June 18 in Washington, D.C.

SZA heads into the February 2 Grammy Awards with two nominations for her hit single “Saturn,” competing in the Best R&B Song and Best R&B Performance categories. With four Grammy wins already under her belt, she continues to be a force in the music industry.
Meanwhile, Kendrick Lamar enters the Grammys with seven nominations, including nods for “Like That” with Future and Metro Boomin, and “Not Like Us,” which is up for Song and Record of the Year. To date, Kendrick Lamar has secured 17 Grammy wins, solidifying his status as one of music’s most celebrated artists.
The halftime show, produced by Roc Nation and Emmy-winning producer Jesse Collins, promises to be a visual and musical spectacle. The creative direction will be helmed by pgLang, a company founded by Kendrick Lamar and Dave Free, known for their groundbreaking contributions to the rapper’s music videos.
Following Usher’s star-studded halftime performance last year, which featured H.E.R., Jermaine Dupri, Lil Jon, Ludacris, and Alicia Keys, Kendrick Lamar and SZA have big shoes to fill—but with their track record of electrifying performances, fans can expect a halftime show for the ages.
