Sweet Magnolias: Episode 1: Pour It Out

Meet Serenity! With all eyes on her, Maddie tries to move on with her life after Bill’s affair. Dana Sue has her hands full when troubles in her kitchen begin boiling over. Helen makes a purchase that will change the course of everyone’s life.

With the pain of divorce fresh on her mind and heart, Maddie Townsend begins taking the steps to heal her splintered family. Bill’s affair and now impending child and marriage, leave her with 3 children reeling from the upheaval, no job, and the talk of her hometown, Serenity. 

Dana Sue Sullivan runs her kitchen at Sullivans with a firm hand and passionate heart but trouble is brewing in the very place she has always considered her sanctuary. With the threat of a disgruntled employee with an ax to grind, emotional wounds that haven’t healed since the divorce from her husband, and a teenage daughter who is beginning to rebel as she finds her way into adulthood, Dana Sue’s world begins to unravel.

Helen Dacatur is a successful lawyer and champion for her hometown of Serenity.  She’s traveled the world but her heart lies in the community of Serenity and its residents. Fiercely loyal and wickedly smart she fills her days fighting the good fight but there’s an ever growing void in her life. She begins to fill that void when she purchases the Wingate mansion with the idea of turning it into a high end spa. Wanting to go into partnership with Maddie and Dana Sue, is this going to be too much for them to take on? 

These are the women at the heart of Sweet Magnolias and the only thing keeping them tethered to some semblance of sanity is leaning on one another, the strength of their friendship, and their weekly “Pour It Out” margarita nights, to navigate the stormy waters.
