Networks have canceled television favorites such as Dynasty, Saved by the Bell, Dollface, and DC favorites, Legends of Tomorrow and Batwoman. Here is what social media had to say about some of their favorite shows getting axed!
The anticipation has been building to discover which television shows survived cancellation this year. As networks return to their regular flow post-pandemic, difficult decisions must be made. To no one’s surprise, long-standing cult classics like Grey’s Anatomy, Law and Order, and NBC’s One Chicago Franchise live on.
However, many fan favorites have been canceled this season, and social media is not holding back!
Dynasty
The CW’s Dynasty reboot has come to an end after five seasons. #SaveDynasty took over Twitter following the announcement. The show, which gathered an international fanbase from Netflix, featured Elizabeth Gillies as the fiery Fallon Carrington. Dynasty may be canceled, but Fallon Carrington certainly is not. Remember this iconic scene?

Dynasty fans can rest assured that the series is not quite over yet. The mid-series finale will air Friday, June 3rd, marking the show’s 100th episode. Elizabeth Gillies delayed wishing Dynasty a farewell just yet, urging fans to tune in for the reboot’s final moments.

Saved By the Bell
The television gods did not favor the reboots this season. Peacock’s Saved By The Bell aired in 2020 and went on for two seasons, featuring many original cast members such as Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Tiffani Thiessen, Mario Lopez, Elizabeth Berkley and Lark Voorhies. Even with these TV veterans, class is dismissed for the series.

Dollface
Hulu’s Dollface featured one of television’s hottest trios: Kat Dennings, Shay Mitchell, and Brenda Song. The comedy series will be put to rest before reaching its’ third season. Similar to Dyansty, characters as iconic as Shay Mitchell’s Stella will be long-remembered past Dollface’s cancellation.

Legends of Tomorrow
The DC Comics based-show has come to an end after seven powerful seasons, much to its’ dedicated fan base’s dismay. The most recent season of Legends of Tomorrow ended on a nail-biting cliffhanger that will remain unresolved. Accepting the end of the show has not been easy for Legends fans, but accepting the loose ends that came with is it even harder!
I’m so grateful we got seven seasons with our Legends, I just wish they could have wrapped it up the way they deserved. #LegendsOfTomorrow

Keto Shimizu, Executive Producer of Legends of Tomorrow took to Twitter to shout out the loyal fans that kept the series going.
Thank you to our fans; your love and passion for our strange band of misfits has made every break, every script, every daily, every cut, and every mix worth all the hard work. We see you, we love you, and you’ll always have a place on the Waverider. ❤️

Batwoman
It’s been a rough week for CW fans. Batwoman joins a long list of CW shows not given a chance for another season. The series first aired on the CW in 2019 and went on to release three seasons. Fans are proposing movies to give their favorite DC Comic shows the grand finale they deserve!
