Sadie Sink Joins Tom Holland in Next Spider-Man Movie

The Stranger Things star is swinging into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Sadie Sink has been tapped to join Tom Holland in the highly anticipated next installment of Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios’ Spider-Man franchise.

While details about Sadie Sink‘s role remain under wraps, speculation is already swirling about whether she’ll portray X-Men’s Jean Grey or another well-known redhead from Spider-Man’s world.

Destin Daniel Cretton is set to direct, with Amy Pascal and Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige producing. With production expected to begin later this year, Sadie Sink marks the first major new addition to the cast, signaling a fresh direction for the franchise following the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home. The previous film ended with Peter Parker erasing his identity from the world, paving the way for a new chapter with fresh faces.

Tom Holland is currently filming Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey and is expected to jump into Spider-Man production as soon as he wraps. Meanwhile, Sadie Sink is keeping busy—having recently completed filming the final season of Stranger Things, one of the most anticipated releases of 2025. She’s also starring in Searchlight’s musical O’Dessa, which just had its world premiere at SXSW and is set to debut on Hulu next week. Before donning her Marvel suit, she will first take the Broadway stage in John Proctor Is the Villain, opening April 4.

While Marvel and Sony have yet to confirm Sadie Sink’s casting, her addition promises to bring new energy to the beloved franchise. With filming set to kick off soon, fans won’t have to wait long to see what’s next for Tom Holland’s Peter Parker—and whether Sadie Sink will be a friend or foe.
