Robert Irwin Sparks Bachelor Buzz After DWTS Reveal

Robert Irwin recently joined Dancing with the Stars and hinted at possibly becoming the next Bachelor: “Stranger things have happened”!

Robert Irwin is heating up both the ballroom and Bachelor Nation buzz. The 21-year-old Australian conservationist and television personality was just announced as the first celebrity cast member for the upcoming Dancing with the Stars Season 34, and fans are already speculating that he might be taking his talents—and charm—to another ABC hit: The Bachelor.

Following in the twinkle-toed path of his sister Bindi Irwin, who won the mirrorball trophy alongside Derek Hough, Robert is gearing up for his own spin on the dance floor. If sibling success is any indicator, he might just have the moves to win it all. And the timing couldn’t be better—Robert is newly single, internet-famous, and very much in the spotlight.

His upcoming appearance on DWTS isn’t the only reason he’s caught fans’ attention. Robert recently starred in a buzzworthy Bonds Underwear campaign that showcased not just his connection to Australian wildlife—but also his chiseled abs. The slightly cheeky shoot set social media ablaze, leaving many wondering one thing: Is Robert Irwin single?

As it turns out, yes—he is. After splitting from Rorie Buckley in early 2024 and reportedly ending things with Australian Zoo worker Charlotte Briggs a month later, Robert is officially unattached. That revelation, combined with his increasing presence on American television, has led many to imagine the conservationist trading the jungle for the mansion.

And Robert isn’t exactly shutting down the rumors.

When asked by Entertainment Tonight whether he’d consider starring on The Bachelor, Irwin smiled and said, “The Bachelor, you reckon? Hey, I mean, never say never. I’m looking for the perfect person, so stranger things have happened.” That coy response was enough to spark Bachelor Nation into full fantasy-casting mode. One fan even gifted Robert with a photoshopped image of him dressed in a suit, holding a signature red rose—with a snake coiled around his neck. His response? “I mean, I can see that happening,” he laughed.

With his DWTS debut on the horizon and plenty of fan love rolling in, Robert Irwin might be the most eligible bachelor on TV right now—and if ABC plays their cards right, he might just stay that way a little longer.
