In honor of Red Table Talk returning Wednesday, March 31, we have a recap of the best episodes from the talk show so far.
Jada Pinkett Smith, Willow Smith, and Adrienne Banfield-Norris are back for Red Table Talk’s fourth season! The Facebook Watch talk show provides a space where all three women have open conversations on important and sometimes controversial topics. In celebration of its return on Wednesday, March 31, here are some of our favorite episodes from the web talk show.
Motherhood
In the show’s premiere, Pinkett Smith sat down with Will Smith’s ex-wife Sheree Fletcher. After a former tumultuous relationship between the two women, they speak about their healing and how they operate as a family together today. Later, both Willow Smith and Adrienne Banfield-Norris joined the conversation to have a deep discussion about what motherhood means. It was a heartfelt way to start the series and a meaningful discussion for all three women to have.
Jordyn Woods Shares the Truth
In season one of Red Table Talk, Jada Pinkett Smith had a one-on-one with Kylie Kardashian’s former best friend, Jordyn Woods. After news broke out regarding the scandal between Woods and the father of Khloe Kardashian’s daughter in 2019, Woods sat down with Smith to share her side of the story. Smith even said at the beginning of the episode that this was one of the most challenging topics she’s had to cover. The emotional interview became one of the most-watched episodes of the series.
Jada Brings Herself to The Red Table
After singer-songwriter August Alsina confirmed rumors about his and Jada Pinkett Smith’s romantic relationship, Pinkett Smith brought herself to the table to break her silence. Sitting down with her husband Will Smith, she opened up about the relationship with Alsina, calling it an “entanglement.” The discussion between the two was heartfelt and honest, as both spoke about issues in their marriage and where they are today. This episode surpassed the Jordyn Woods interview.
Olivia Jade Speaks Out
In episode 21 of season 3, Olivia Jade came to the red table to share her story regarding the college admissions scandal. Though the interview started awkwardly, there was an honest conversation surrounding Jade’s white privilege. Banfield-Norris didn’t let Jade walk off easy, as she wondered why Jade reached out to them for this platform in the first place. “There is so much devastation,” Banfield-Norris said on the episode, “particularly this year, 2020 with the pandemic, and everything brought to the table about how there is so much inequality and inequity, that when you come to the table with something like this, it’s like, ‘Child, please.’”
While we only listed a couple of our favorite episodes from the series, there are so many more! Check out the season four premiere of Red Table Talk with guest Nicey Nash Wednesday, March 31, at 12 p.m. E.T./9 a.m. P.T.
