We all have our favorite and least favorite parts from Stranger Things that make us favor certain seasons over others. Let’s see which one fans loved the most!
The popular Netflix series Stranger Things first came out in 2016 and now has 4 seasons. This science fiction horror drama is filled with action and non-stop twists and turns.
Like any show, fans have certain seasons they enjoy more than others. These seasons will be ranked based on which has the highest ratings.
Critics said season 1 is “exciting, heartbreaking, and sometimes scary, Stranger Things acts as an addictive homage to Spielberg films and vintage 1980s television.” A young boy named Will went missing, and his mother, police chief, and friends fight supernatural forces from another world to get him back. Will’s friends also found Eleven in the woods, who helped them find him. 97% of critics voted that this season is “fresh” on Rotten Tomatoes. It also got a 10/10 vote on IMDb.
Season 2 was described as “slow-building sophomore season balances moments of humor and a nostalgic sweetness against a growing horror that’s all the more effective thanks to the show’s full-bodied characters and evocative tone.” This season brings in new characters named Max and her brother, Billy. The group of kids is still linked to the Upside Down through Will while the Mind Flayer continues to lurk over Hawkins. This received a 94% on Rotten Tomatoes and an 8/10 on IMDb.
Critics said season 3 “transforms itself into a riveting — if familiar — summer ride that basks in its neon-laden nostalgia without losing sight of the rich relationships that make the series so endearing.” This season includes more romance within the group while the kids battle growing up and not apart. During this, the Soviet scientists try to open a gate into the Upside Down, which threatens the world and allows supernatural creatures to enter. Billy also becomes possessed by the Mind Flayer, and the friends have to fight to figure out what is going on. This season got an 89% on Rotten Tomatoes and an 8/10 on IMDb.
Critics described season 4 as “darker and denser than its predecessors, Stranger Things‘ fourth chapter sets the stage for the show’s final season in typically binge worthy fashion.” This season focuses on trying to find Hopper with the suspicion that he is in Russia, how Vecna is taking control over people and killing them in another world, and Eleven trying to gain her powers back to prepare to fight Vecna. This season also brings in the character Eddie. It received an 88% on Rotten Tomatoes and a 9/10 on IMDb.
