6. The Book of Boba Fett

Holding the lowest spot on this list is the Book of Boba Fett, which premiered in December of 2021. After the long awaited return of the beloved character Boba fett, played by Temuera Morrison, who also played Jango Fett in Star Wars: Attack of the Clones. Then after an appearance  in the second season of The Mandalorian, Boba Fett was given his very own series. While many fans were excited for this, it ended up not being quite what people were expecting.

Two of its seven episodes barely focused on Boba Fett himself, and more on The Mandalorian, and his current objective until he wound up with Boba Fett and Fennec Shand on Tatooine. The series had its good moments like bringing back the bounty hunter Cad Bane, and Boba Fett riding a Rancor into battle, but also had its fair share of dragging and uninteresting moments. The series ended with an overall score of 7.2/10 from IMBd, and a 66% on Rotten Tomatoes.

5. The Acolyte

The Acolyte is the newest, to date live action Star Wars series, coming in at the second lowest spot on this list. The Acolyte was not received well by many fans and or viewers worldwide. This is for many reasons, one being that it discredits many theories and opinions that fans and critics have had from the past beloved Star Wars films and shows. As it takes place long before the prequel trilogy with Hayden Christensen and Ewan McGregor, and focuses on characters we don’t know, many fans found it hard to care about the series as a whole. The series overall dismantled parts of Star Wars that people love, and delivered a bland, and disappointing product with a 4.1/10 from IMDb, and a 78% from Rotten Tomatoes.

4. Obi-Wan Kenobi

Next up on this list goes to the fanservice series, Obi-Wan Kenobi. Returning to his role of the beloved Jedi Master, Ewan McGregor, years after the events of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith, is back. In addition to this, Hayden Christensen returns as Anakin Skywalker, now Darth Vader, on a mission of hatred and revenge to hunt down his old master, Obi-Wan Kenobi. With a young Princess Leia, played by Vivien Lyra Blair, at the center of it all under Obi-Wan Kenobi’s protection, the series takes the viewer on a wild ride across the galaxy. It received a 7/10 from IMDb, and an 82% from Rotten Tomatoes.

3. Ahsoka

Moving closer to the top spot, Ahsoka is one of the newer live action Star Wars shows that received decent reviews. Focusing on Rosario Dawson as the beloved character Ahsoka Tano, and her friends and allies fight against the Galactic Empire. Fans overall enjoyed the series and what it brought to the table. The biggest compliment and complaint many people had with the series was that it was heavily tied to the animated series, Star Wars Rebels. Those who have seen it received a live action continuation of the series. Those who have not might have been confused or not gotten the full experience without seeing Star Wars Rebels. Ahsoka was generally liked with a 7.5/10 from IMDb, and 86% from Rotten Tomatoes.

2. The Mandalorian

In the number two spot on this list, is the show that really kicked off all of the other live action Star Wars series, The Mandalorian. Pedro Pascal takes up the role of the bounty hunter Din Djarin, known as the Mandalorian, and does an exceptional job throughout the three seasons the show has as of now. The Mandalorian travels the galaxy making friends, and enemies a few years after the fall of the Galactic Empire. His main goal is to protect Grogu, more famously known by fans as “Baby Yoda”, from several people, such as Moff Gideon, played by Giancarlo Esposito. The Mandalorian comes in second with a 8.6/10 on IMDb, and a 90% from Rotten Tomatoes

1. Andor

The highest ranked series on this list is Andor, starring Diego Luna as Cassian Andor. The series follows the character Cassian Andor, who was one of the main protagonists from the film Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, taking place some time before the events of the film. Andor shows us more about the character’s background, and what leads him into joining the Rebellion, and fighting against the Galactic Empire. Andor also doesn’t hold back from being darker, and killing off characters, while showing that despite what harsh things are thrown at the characters, they must push through and keep fighting. Taking the top spot on the list, Andor just  overtakes The Mandalorian with a 8.4 on IMDb, but a 96% on Rotten Tomatoes
