Hulu sets June premiere date for Predator: Killer of Killers, an animated anthology from Prey director Dan Trachtenberg with a killer twist.
The hunt is back on—and this time, it’s animated. Hulu has announced the streaming premiere date for Predator: Killer of Killers, the newest chapter in the legendary sci-fi franchise. Set to debut June 6, the stylized anthology feature comes from Prey director Dan Trachtenberg and promises a brutal, globe-spanning battle between humanity’s fiercest warriors and the deadliest hunter in the galaxy.
Predator: Killer of Killers flips the script on the franchise by taking an anthology approach. The film’s chilling premise pits three of history’s most dangerous warriors against the galaxy’s most lethal predator in standalone stories that cross time, cultures, and continents.
According to Hulu’s official summary, the film follows a Viking raider and her young son on a blood-soaked path of vengeance, a feudal-era ninja who clashes with his samurai brother in a brutal succession battle, and a World War II pilot facing a mysterious and monstrous threat high above enemy lines.
But each of these warriors, skilled as they are, soon realize they’re not the hunters—they’re the hunted. The Predator, dubbed “the ultimate killer of killers,” makes each story a deadly game of survival.
A first-look video released Tuesday teased the film’s stylized animation, intense action, and eerie tone, culminating in the reveal of the June 6 premiere date.
The voice cast includes Lindsay LaVanchy, Louis Ozawa, Rick Gonzalez, and sci-fi legend Michael Biehn, best known for his iconic roles in Aliens and Terminator.
This latest chapter adds a fresh layer to the ever-evolving Predator saga, which began with Arnold Schwarzenegger in Predator (1987), continued with Danny Glover in Predator 2 (1990), and saw clashes with another alien titan in Alien vs. Predator (2004) and AVP: Requiem (2007). The franchise returned to solo form with Predators (2010), followed by Shane Black’s The Predator (2018), and Trachtenberg’s Prey (2022), which breathed new life into the story with a prequel twist.
Predator: Killer of Killers is just the beginning for 2025. Another highly anticipated film in the franchise, Predator: Badlands, will bring the action back to the big screen this fall. The live-action feature, also directed by Trachtenberg, stars Elle Fanning and is set to hit theaters November 7.
For now, the countdown is on for Predator: Killer of Killers—a new kind of hunt begins on Hulu this June.
