“A lot of the times you question if you’ve done enough on the shows you’ve done to be an impactful persona and player and I guess getting the call for 40 just made me realize that you can still take a 4-year break, and in the time that you were there have a big enough impact to be considered one of the most impactful players of Era 4.”

Throughout this season, there has been a topic of discussion on what separates an OG player from a new school player. Paulie Calafiore made his debut on Final Reckoning in 2018 where he instantly made waves by making bold moves leading him to become a Challenge favorite.  While he was a part of the Era 4 team, The War Of The Worlds 2 finalist had his thoughts on the newer players that have entered the game.

“I am fed up with the new school players, I think they haven’t been properly welcomed to the show like I was welcomed to the show, which was get the hell out of here, you don’t belong here. I feel like they have come to a point in time where they’re a** kissing works and I don’t like that. I also don’t like the fact that the old-school players allow them to be a** kissers, so I have my gripes with the new school and I have my gripes with the old school. My gripes with the old school are what the hell happened to you all, and my gripes with the new school are I’m tired of you all being a** kissers, I’mbored of it.”

The Challenge is showing no signs of slowing down anytime soon, and fans are already discussing what new players they would like to see make their debut on season 41. Paulie Calafiore had some advice for future rookies coming into the game.

“Come on this show to make a name for yourself, don’t be a background character. There’s a reason why I was able to come back after taking 4 years off, because in the 3 seasons I was on I was not a background character, I was the main character. If you want to come on and you want to be a background character then your future on this show will be short-lived. The only background characters that have continuously gotten cast over and over again, which I have no idea how are the Vacation Alliance.”
