Ozzy Osbourne To Reunite with Black Sabbath for Final Show

The Prince of Darkness is returning to where it all began. Ozzy Osbourne is set to reunite with his legendary band, Black Sabbath, for one final performance at The Back to the Beginning show on July 5, 2025, at Villa Park in Birmingham, England.

Ozzy Osbourne, 76, has battled significant health issues in recent years, including a Parkinson’s disease diagnosis and multiple spinal surgeries. Despite stepping away from touring in 2023, he’s determined to give fans a proper send-off.

“It’s my time to go back to the beginning … time for me to give back to the place where I was born,” Ozzy Osbourne said in a statement. “How blessed am I to do it with the help of people whom I love. Birmingham is the true home of metal. Birmingham forever.”

This will mark the first time in 20 years that Ozzy Osbourne will share the stage with original Black Sabbath members Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward. Before reuniting with the band, Ozzy Osbourne will perform a solo set, adding to the night’s highly anticipated lineup.

The show, directed by Rage Against the Machine’s Tom Morello, promises to be “the greatest heavy metal show ever.” In addition to Black Sabbath’s long-awaited reunion, the all-day festival will feature performances by Metallica, Slayer, and Alice In Chains, with more artists to be announced soon.

Proceeds from the event will support Cure Parkinson’s, Birmingham Children’s Hospital, and Acorn Children’s Hospice.

Ozzy Osbourne’s wife, Sharon Osbourne, shared that he’s in good spirits and eager to reconnect with his bandmates and fans.

“He’s doing really great,” she told BBC News. “He’s so excited about this, about being with the guys again and all his friends. It’s exciting for everyone.”

She also confirmed that this will be Ozzy Osbourne’s final performance, adding, “Ozzy didn’t have a chance to say goodbye to his friends, to his fans, and he feels there’s been no full stop. This is his full stop.”
