In a tantalizing first-look image, Peck appears in silhouette—without his signature mask—fueling speculation that his role may serve as a long-awaited face reveal.
Orville Peck, known for his ever-evolving aesthetic, has slowly adapted his look over the years. While his 2019 album Pony introduced him with full facial coverings, his 2024 album Stampede marked a shift towards more revealing styles. Now, his Broadway stint may showcase him completely unmasked for the first time.
The official Instagram accounts for both Orville Peck and Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club shared the striking image, accompanied by the caption:

Orville Peck steps into the role of the Emcee following Academy Award winner Eddie Redmayne and pop icon Adam Lambert, both of whom brought their own unique spins to the iconic character. RuPaul’s Drag Race alum Marty Lauter (formerly Marcia Marcia Marcia) has also served as an understudy for the role while playing Victor in the production.
This latest tease from Orville Peck arrives alongside another milestone—the singer’s name appearing in The New York Times crossword puzzle. Excitedly sharing the moment on Instagram, Orville Peck wrote: “Y’all, I’ve done the @nytimes crossword every day for YEARS.”
Photographer Gina Gizella captured the moody, shadowed first-look image of Orville Peck in character. His co-star, Eva Noblezada, who will take on the role of Sally Bowles, was also featured in a promotional post by the production’s official Instagram.
