AFTERBUZZ TV – Orange Is The New Black edition, is a weekly “after show” for fans of Netflix’s Orange Is The New Black. In this episode host Thaddeus Massey breaks down the episode in which Prison officials cover-up Miller’s death to avoid an investigation. The inmates believe Miller killed herself and organize an informal memorial for her. Miller’s death affects Mendez, and he vents over drinks with Bennett. Aleida, Dayanara, and Red scheme to cover-up Dayanara’s pregnancy. Dayanara will have sex with Mendez, which will then deflect any suspicions once Dayanara’s pregnancy becomes apparent. However, during their encounter Mendez he uses a condom, so there’s no evidence to use against him. Doggett is held in the psych unit. After Chapman learns that psych is worse than SHU, she successfully petitions Caputo to have Doggett returned to the general population over Vause’s objections. However, Chapman’s bravery brings Vause closer to her. Flashbacks depict the breakup between Chapman and Vause following the death of Vause’s mother. Larry is interviewed on public radio, and his comments are particularly hurtful toward “Crazy Eyes” and Miss Claudette, though he is kinder to other inmates, including Red. Larry’s comments regarding fidelity convince Chapman that he knows about her relationship with Vause. Chapman calls Larry and confesses her infidelity. Larry reveals that during Thanksgiving, Healy told him Chapman was put in SHU for “lesbian activity.” Chapman admits to Larry that she loves Vause, which Larry sees as a deep betrayal. Larry then tells Chapman that Vause did name her, thereby admitting that he lied earlier. He asks Chapman, “How does it feel to be in love with the woman who ruined our lives?”, and says that he needs time away from Chapman.
