Rapper Nicki Minaj has announced the gender of her newborn baby on Instagram!
The rapper took to Instagram this morning to announce that she had a baby boy with her husband, Kenneth Petty. Nicki gave birth to her son on Sept. 30 in Los Angeles.
The “Super Bass” rapper not only shared the news of her baby’s gender but also posted a few congratulatory notes from her closest celebrity pals.
One of those pals was Beyonce, who wrote a heartfelt note that read, “Onika, Welcome to motherhood. God bless you and your family. B.”
Other celebrities that sent their congrats were Kim Kardashian and Kanye West with a card that read, “Congrats! We love you! Kim + Kanye.”
Model Winnie Harlow also shared a sweet message that said, “Baby Barb on Board! Congratulations, sis, happy for the healthy delivery of your first bundle of joy! Sending you blessings and prayers on this new journey.”
Nicki thanked everyone for their kind words and wishes with an Instagram caption that said, “Thank you to Queen B, Kim & Ye, Riccardo Tisci, Winnie, Karol & everyone who sent well wishes during this time. It meant the world to me. I am so grateful & in love with my son. Madly in love. My favorite liddo boy in the whole wide world.”
The rapper’s mother, Carol Maraj, also shared a loving message to her daughter with an Instagram post.
“Thank you, Lord, for Blessing my daughter @nickiminaj with a beautiful bundle of joy! You have always been a Blessing to myself and your family, and now you have received one of the best Blessings from God.”
Nicki and her husband Kenneth have been married for over a year now, after confirming their relationship back in 2018.
The couple announced back in July that the pair were expecting to become parents. A month later, Nicki also revealed that she would be retiring to focus on her family.
“I’ve decided to retire & have my family. I know you guys are happy now. To my fans, keep reppin me, do it til da death of me … Love you for LIFE,” said Nicki on Twitter.
