The late Broadway star’s first album dropped to honor him on his birthday.
Broadway actor and singer Nick Cordero’s first album was released on September 17, to honor his birthday.
The Live Your Life album debuted at number 1 on the iTunes charts and his wife Amanda Kloots couldn’t be more excited. She took to Instagram to write,
“#1 on ITunes might be the BEST birthday gift Nick could have ever got! He’s up in heaven going ‘Guys! Oh my God! Really?! This is incredible! THANK YOU!’ If you know my husband’s voice you can imagine it.”
The album name comes from the first single he released in December of 2018. Amanda sang the song “Live Your Life” everyday at 3pm with her followers live on Instagram while her husband was in the ICU for over 3 months.
The album is 24 songs from Cordero’s one man show last April. It features some Broadway songs, pop, standards, and Latin all to tell his story.
Cordero and Kloots have a one-year-old son, Elvis, together who enjoys dancing along to his dad’s music! Kloots says that whenever Elvis hears Nick’s voice he stops in his tracks and has a big smile on his face!
Kloots has been very open with her grieving process, in hopes of helping others going through a similar situation. She spent her husband’s 42nd birthday keeping super busy as she knew the day could have been hard. She played tennis, had an afternoon hangout with some friends, and ended the day with a birthday party for Nick.
Kloots encourages others to plan something, have people around you who will bring you joy and cheer you up. She says the day was “so fast, so happy, so eventful!”
