Nia Moore Talks Return to The Challenge

Nia Moore is no stranger when it comes to competing on The Challenge, and with season 40 upon us, The Real World Portland alum is back in hopes of bringing home the win and being crowned Challenge Champ.

Nia Moore spoke with MTV’s The Challenge Weekly by AfterBuzz TV and talked about what it was like returning to the flagship series, what reality TV stars she would like to see enter the game next as rookies, and the big project she has planned for her fans.

Season 40 of The Challenge did not hold back when it came to casting some fan favorites viewers haven’t seen in a while, with Nia Moore being one of them.

“I remember there was this tweet that I sent out seven or eight years ago, and I said, hey guys, I’m never going back on The Challenge, stop asking me, that chapter is behind me”—explained Moore. “I fell in love with being a flight attendant, as well as a food vlogger, so years later when I got the call, I thought it was a joke. For me, it was over 10 years, I had to blow the dust off my knees and get back in the gym because I already knew the game was no joke. It’s just wild, never say never.”

Coming back to The Challenge, Nia Moore was competing with and against some of the biggest names in The Challenge history and shared her thoughts on who are the best players of all time to participate in the game.

“C.T. and Mark, those are the grandfathers of this whole show, without them there is no Challenge, Bananas of course, and Wes.” Said Moore, “For the females, I would say it’s probably a tie between Laurel and Cara Maria, but you also have to consider people who are right on their heels like Jonna and Tori.”

To become one of the best The Challenge players of all time one must start as a rookie and prove themselves, to which Nia already has some people in mind she would like to see make their debut on the show, most from popular Netflix shows.

“I would love to see them bring in as many single cutie pies, anyone with a six-pack, preferably over six-one because you know your girl is six foot, also preferably chocolate, but I am an equal opportunist”— Explained Moore.  “Shows like Perfect Match, Too Hot To Handle, Love Island, and even Love is Blind UK, Steven (Smith), Freddie (Powell), Ollie (Sutherland). Let’s get Demari (Davis) from the most recent season of Too Hot To Handle as well.”

While Nia Moore has been nothing but an extraordinary player on The Challenge, she also has another passion which is food vlogging. She shared she’s working on an exciting project and can’t wait for everyone to see the final product.

“In terms of my creative endeavor, I have a project that’s called Table For One. I don’t know if I’m going to push this into a television series or something that I have complete creative control over on YouTube. But I want to share my love for solo travel, food, culture, and fellowship around the world, and the fact that I do it by myself, not just as an individual, but as a woman and a black woman, so that’s what I’m focusing on creatively.”
