New Shows Coming To Hulu In June!

With a range of themes, genres, and talented stars, there is something for everyone on Hulu’s June releases. 

Mastermind: To Think Like A Killer

This limited series coming to Hulu follows the story of Ann Burgess. Ann is a trauma nurse who dedicated herself to understanding the minds of criminals in order to better help her patients. She has worked with the FBI and was one of the first criminal profilers who redefined criminology. In this series, they will deep dive into some of her most notable cases and understand her process into how she understands serial killers.

Mastermind: To Think Like a Killer will be released on June 13th.

Becoming Karl Lagerfield

This TV mini series depicts Karl Lagerfield’s rise in the Paris’ 1970 fashion world and how he became a household name in the fashion industry. Created by Raphëlle Bacqué, known for Number One, and Isaure Pisani-Ferry, known for Vampires, this French show will truly deep dive into this fashion icon’s life. The show will star names such as Daniel Brühl from Rush, Agnès Jaoui known for Known For Others, and Théodore Pellerin known for Genesis. Whether viewers are deeply entrenched in the fashion world or know nothing about it, this show will have audiences at the edge of their seat.

Becoming Karl Largerfield will be released June 7th.

Queenie

Queenie tells the story of a Jamaican-British woman living in South London and the struggle between her two identities. The show is based on the book by the same name, written by Candice Carty-Williams. The series is directed by the amazing Joelle Mae David, who is known for her work on Dreaming Whilst Black. Dionne Brown stars as the main character, known previously in her role on Criminal Record. Starring alongside her is Tilly Keeper, who was apart of the hit show EastEnders, and Elisha Applebaum, known for her work on the series Fate: The Winx Saga. This show has an important message that will hit home for many viewers.

Queenie wil release on June 7th.

Clipped

Clipped is a mini series which follows the story of the downfall of the Los Angeles Clippers owner, Donald Sterling, as the team fights for a championship win under a new coach, Doc Rivers. Donald Sterling is a billionaire who bought the clippers back in the 1980’s and was then condemned for his racist remarks on a recorded tape. This series highlights a dark reality and shows an important message about acceptance, equality, and the duty everyone has to make their environment a comfortable place for all. This delicate topic was handled by director Kevin Bray, known for his work on the film Walking Tall and stars Laurence Fishburne from The Matrix, Ed O’Neill from Modern Family, and Jacki Weaver from Silver Linings Playbook.

Clipped will release on June 4th.
