Love is in the air, or maybe not! In the newest installment of Netflix’s hot series The Ultimatum, five LGBTQ+ couples come on the experiment to find out if they are truly meant to be. The cast of The Ultimatum: Queer Love is made up of women and non-binary people, and over the course of eight weeks each couple will determine if they’re ready to tie the knot or call it quits.
If you’re unfamiliar with the premise of the original The Ultimatum series, the new series follows suit. The show puts five couples to the test by pairing individual partners with new a potential partner to get a taste for an alternative future. It’s up to them to decide which course they will take, leave with a new boo or take a chance at marriage with their original partner.
The trailer recently dropped for The Ultimatum: Queer Love and it has a refreshing feel! New host, JoAnna Garcia Swisher, who also stars in Netflix’s Sweet Magnolia’s guides the couples as they work to determine their fate. The trailer teases various reasons for contestants’ apprehension in marrying their partners, and one of them is a dog.
The show stems from the same creators of Love is Blind and Perfect Match, two of Netflix’s popular dating shows, so if you enjoyed those then you’re sure to love this! The series wrapped filming in June 2022 and is set to release the first 4 episodes on Netflix on May 24. The rest of the episodes will be released in fours the following two Wednesdays after the original release.
