This episode was the birth of the iconic Halloween song “Calling all the Monsters”. Located in season 1, episode 14 of the series, this episode is a retelling of the main character Chyna Parks’s (China Anne McClain) first day in the A.N.T. program, but this time they’re all mutants instead of gifted children. The show went on to do parts two and three in this alternate universe for the following Halloween’s

“Summerween” – Gravity Falls

Gravity Falls follows twins Dipper Pines (Jason Ritter) and Mabel Pines (Kristen Schaal) as they stay with their Great Uncle Stan (Alex Hirsch) for the summer, in a town where the supernatural runs rampant. The already spooky show took a twist on Halloween in season 1 episode 12 by placing it in the summer, and the twins, with the help of their friends, beat the Summerween Trickster, a monster made up entirely of “loser candy”.

“The Whining” – Jessie

A Disney Channel twist on The Shining, the Ross kids fear history will repeat itself as they hear the story of the nanny who did something bad to her kids. In season 2 episode 2 of the series, Debby Ryan outdoes herself by convincing the kids and audience she truly is out for blood.
