MLB Opening Day: Celebrities Who Love the Boston Red Sox

With the Major League Baseball 2022 season here, this series will take a look at what celebrities root for certain teams in the league. To start off the series, here are what celebrities bleed for Boston, specifically the Red Sox!

 Ben Affleck

As a Massachusetts native, Affleck is known to support his New England teams no matter where he is. He still goes to games and actively supports the teams by wearing their apparel.

Mark Wahlberg

Just like Affleck, it’s no secret that Wahlberg is a huge Boston sports fan. Wahlberg and his whole family have been to many Red Sox games and love their hometown team.

Maria Menounos

Maria actively supports all of her hometown teams and specifically the Red Sox. Menounos even used some of Fenway’s rooftop garden to source her food stand in 2017.

Matt Damon

Another Massachusetts native, Damon is a large supporter of the Red Sox and goes to many games. Damon and Affleck have often been seen at games together.

Conan O’Brien

Conan O’Brien is originally from Brookline, MA and has been a long supporter of the Red Sox!

Denis Leary

Leary has been seen sporting Red Sox apparel and has gone to many of the team’s games over the years. The comedian is from Worcester, Massachusetts which is about an hour outside of Boston.

Jimmy Fallon

While Fallon is originally from New York, he actually is a supporter of the Red Sox. Fallon has thrown out the first pitch and attended multiple games at Fenway. His reaction to the Red Sox winning the World Series in 2004 is an iconic video.

Dr. Dre

A California native, Dr. Dre came to Fenway Park in 2010 after creating Boston Red Sox headphones for his headphone company, Beats by Dr. Dre. He even got to participate in batting practice with the team.
