The Duchess of Sussex, Megan Markle, announces that her and Prince Harry are pregnant with their second child.
The royal family just got a little bit bigger! On this past Sunday, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced their new addition to the family.
Meghan, 39, and Harry, 36, announced their pregnancy news with a gorgeous black-and white photo that was taken, socially distanced, via iPad by their longtime friend and personal photographer, Misan Harriman.
The photo above depicts the loving couple, as Meghan lays on Harry’s lap while he cradles her head. Her white dress shows her growing baby bump!
Harry and Meghan first got engaged in November 2017, then they tied the knot six months later.
Back in May of 2018, they welcomed their firstborn son, Archie, as a new married couple. Following Archie’s arrival, they soon publicly announced their struggles with a miscarriage, in June 2020. As Meghan described in an interview, “ I was holding Archie when I felt the strangest cramp. I slowly dropped to the floor, safely holding him, and started humming a lullaby to keep us both calm and collected. I knew, as I clutched my firstborn child, that I would lose my second”.
Despite the devastating heartache, the couple still knew they wanted a bigger family! They have been vocal about their desire to expand via their instagram account, @sussexroyal.
The couple has been through their fare share of ups and downs yet still remain in an optimistic state. Back in March of 2020, they announced their move from the UK to the USA. It shocked everyone, especially their own family but they stuck to their beliefs.
As the royals move into this new chapter of their lives, we are wishing them a healthy and safe pregnancy, as they prepare for their second child!
