Meet ‘Grey’s Anatomy’s’ Newest Interns!

You may recognize the new interns for season 19 of Grey’s Anatomy from other projects they have done. Here’s a chance to meet the new additions to the cast and learn a little more about the new staff of Grey Sloan Memorial.

Adelaide Kane, aka Jules Millin

Adelaide Kane plays the role of Jules Millin, a very mature Intern who is ready to help out in the ER. She encounters a love interest during the first episode of the season, just like somebody else we know. Kane was born in Western Australia and got her start in acting at 6 years old, and she landed her first major role as Lolly Allen on Neighbors through a Dolly Magazine submission in 2006. If you are a fan of The Purge film series, you may have seen her in the 2013 film as Zoey Sandin, a daughter of a wealthy family that eventually finds themselves in a predicament as gang members try to purge their lives and wealth. She has also worked in the hit CW period drama Reign starring as Mary Queen Of Scots. We definitely can’t wait to see the future of Jules Millin and Adelaide Kane!

Harry Shum Jr., aka Benson Kwan

You may know Harry Shum Jr. as one of your favorite cast members from Glee, Mike Chang. As well as Magnus Bane, the high warlock of Brooklyn in the Shadowhunters series. Shum was born in Puerto Limon, Costa Rica, and can speak Spanish, Cantonese, and English. He has since started a family and recently landed the role of Chad in the Oscar-winning film Everything, Everywhere, All At Once. In Grey’s Anatomy, we see him as fellow intern Benson Kwan, nicknamed Blue on the series. He is a sharp, know-it-all intern who is equally ecstatic about saving lives. We can’t wait to see how his character continues to evolve along with his peers.

Alexis Floyd, aka Simone Griffith

If you watched Inventing Anna on Netflix, then you have seen Alexis Floyd playing the character of Neff Davis, who knows the ins and outs of New York City’s social life as an aspiring filmmaker. She can also be seen as Tia on Freeforms The Bold Type. She is a native of Cleveland, Ohio, and is part of a musical family and has released music as a singer as well. Now on Grey’s Anatomy, she plays Simone Griffith, an intern with a medical past that is determined to become a surgeon no matter what challenges she faces.

Niko Terho, aka Luca Adams

Newer to the acting scene, Niko Terho is originally from Barbados and got his first role in the 2019 short film Howard as Andy and thereafter landed his breakout role in The Thing About Harry as Harry Turpin. He plays Luca Adams on Grey’s Anatomy, a charming intern who has had it easy in some ways but is determined to work hard in order to earn his spot at the hospital. He has an extra chip on his shoulder, being the nephew of Derek Shepherd.

Midori Francis, aka Mika Yusada

Do you remember a little TV show on Netflix called Dash & Lily? Then you definitely know Midori Francis, who played Lily in the Christmas romance. You may have also recognized Francis as Alicia in The Sex Lives of College Girls on HBO Max. Francis is from Lakewood, New Jersey, and graduated from Rutgers University in 2015 with BFA in acting. She currently plays Mika Yusada in Grey’s Anatomy, a character who enjoys joking around and is frequently put on the spot for her sense of humor. We can’t wait to see her progress as Mika Yusada on the hit show!
