Matt James had disappeared from social media, but now he has broken his silence!
Matt James is back on Instagram after taking a hiatus and posting a cryptic tweet that confused Bachelor fans across the nation.
Keep in mind, that the day after the highly anticipated “After the Final Rose”, he posted a tweet about therapy.
After that tweet, James posted about the value of happiness in life.
Fans of The Bachelor are passionate about the show and some can be ruthless, which can influence some of the leads to become fed up. In fact, it could be the reason why he tweeted a photo about having his “moon bags packed”.
Could this mean he is moving? Or, could it mean he is leaving Bachelor nation for good? These are the questions fans are dying to know the answers to!
At the reunion, James got the chance to explain why he decided not to continue his relationship with Rachel Kirkconnel. He said after he saw the Antebellum-themed party, a celebration of the confederacy, it was time to end his relationship with Kirkconnel.
On the show, James expressed how heartbroken he was about Kirkconnel attending a party that celebrated the enslavement and pain of Black people.
“The most disappointing thing for me was having to explain to you why what I saw was problematic and why I was so upset,” he said.
James still finds it to be inappropriate, especially since she attended the party in 2018.
“It was in the context of you not fully understanding my Blackness and what it means to be a Black man in America and what it would mean for our kids when I saw those things floating on the internet and it broke my heart,” he said.
Even after explaining his feelings as to why he felt he couldn’t possibly continue his relationship with Kirkconnel, he still received backlash from some fans.
