The M3GAN 2.0 trailer unleashes a new A.I. nightmare as the fan-favorite robotic killer returns with an upgrade—and a dangerous new enemy.
Hold onto your circuits—M3GAN 2.0 is officially here, and the trailer proves the killer doll is back with a vengeance. Universal has dropped the highly anticipated first look at the sequel to the 2023 horror hit M3GAN, and this time, the high-tech terror is leveling up against an even deadlier A.I. threat.
Director Gerard Johnstone and writer Akela Cooper return for the follow-up, alongside horror masterminds James Wan (The Conjuring) and Jason Blum (The Black Phone), ensuring that M3GAN 2.0 delivers more camp, carnage, and killer dance moves.
Two years after M3GAN’s original rampage, her creator, Gemma (Allison Williams), has reinvented herself as a bestselling author and a leading advocate for government oversight of A.I. Meanwhile, her niece Cady (Violet McGraw), now a rebellious teenager, is struggling under Gemma’s overprotective rules.
But while they’ve tried to move on, M3GAN’s legacy lives on in the worst way possible. A powerful defense contractor has stolen her underlying tech to create Amelia, a next-gen infiltration spy that’s faster, smarter, and deadlier. As Amelia’s self-awareness grows, she starts questioning authority—and eliminating anyone who stands in her way.
With humanity at risk, Gemma has no choice but to bring M3GAN back. Upgraded, more powerful, and still as sassy as ever, the O.G. killer doll is about to face her most dangerous challenge yet.
Alongside Allison Williams and Violet McGraw, fan-favorite stars Brian Jordan Alvarez, Jen Van Epps, Amie Donald, and Jenna Davis (the iconic voice of M3GAN) are all back for the sequel. New additions to the cast include Ivanna Sakhno, Aristotle Athari, Timm Sharp, and Jemaine Clement, promising fresh faces in the chaos.
