The hit Netflix series Love is Blind is making its way to the Midwest with its highly anticipated Minneapolis-based eighth season, premiering on Valentine’s Day. The season will feature the largest cast of contestants to date, with 32 singles from the Twin Cities looking for love in the show’s unique social experiment.
Netflix dropped the trailer for Love is Blind season 8 Monday, introducing viewers to the new batch of hopeful romantics who range in age from 26 to 43. This season’s cast is full of local flavor, including Brian Sumption, the owner of Troubadour Wine Bar in Minneapolis; Molly Mullaney, a former Minnesota Timberwolves dancer turned executive assistant; and Ben Mezzenga, a former Golden Gophers baseball player.
In its trailer description, Netflix teases: “This season, the singles form deep and immediate connections, setting the stage for an unexpected journey full of twists, turns, and shocking revelations that will test each relationship well after the participants leave the pods for the real world.”
Love is Blind Season 8 will follow its traditional pod-to-proposal format, where contestants interact without ever seeing each other. Only after committing to an engagement do the couples meet face-to-face. As the season progresses, the couples navigate real-world challenges, testing the strength of their relationships.
The season’s release schedule is as follows:
Episodes 1-6: Friday, Feb. 14
Episodes 7-9: Friday, Feb. 21
Episodes 10-11: Friday, Feb. 28
The Finale: Friday, Mar. 7
With its Midwest charm and the largest cast yet, the Minneapolis season promises to be one of the most thrilling and unpredictable chapters in the series’ history.
Stay tuned for the twists, heartbreaks, and love stories as these 32 Minnesotans embark on their quest to prove whether love truly is blind.
