Problemista
When it comes to Julio Torres, Problemista is a must see. Problemista is his first feature film and it is funny, creative, and has so many twists and turns along the way. Starring Tilda Swinton as a kooky wealthy woman who Julio Torres’ character is an assistant for. You will never know what’s coming next during this film. A fun fact about this project is that Julio Torres’ mom actually did a lot of the designing for the movie. This movie is clearly a product of a lot of love.
Finally got around to watching Fantasmas and good lord what a great show. Between this and Problemista I’m all in on the style Julio Torres has crafted for himself. pic.twitter.com/zKIKLflwVK

Los Espookys
Los Espookys is a project close to Julio Torres’ heart, because it is primarily in his Spanish, his mother tongue. The tv show follows a hilarious group of essentially ghost hunters who get up to all kinds of paranormal shenanigans. Fred Armison guest stars on the show as the main character Renaldo’s uncle, who is loved by all and works at valet parking. With a 100% on Rotten Tomatoes, this is a Julio Torres project on Max that definitely shouldn’t be missed.

Fantasmas
Fantasmas is Julio Torres’ most recent project. It is a comedy television series and, in typical Julio Torres fashion, is fantastical and other-wordly while also managing to be grounded in the things that make us all human, such as loss, isolation, and feeling small in a big city. If you are a true and through Julio Torres fan and want to keep up with his most recent work, you might have already seen this, but if you haven’t, it’s a must see in Julio Torres’ artistic catalog. It also has a 96% on Rotten Tomatoes, but go watch for yourself to see the true specialty of his work.
Just watched the first episode of this and I feel like I’ve seen something you’d swear was too weird or gay to be made. Kinda like if all the more surreal Problemista scenes were the whole movie. Julio Torres’ mind is unbelievable pic.twitter.com/P9q7aHkieg

My Favorite Shapes
Julio Torres’ first comedy special, My Favorite Shapes, is the perfect thing to watch if you are just getting into Julio Torres’ art and want to get a sense of his style. Julio Torres presents you with what is promised, his favorite shapes, but also so much more. This special is absolutely drenched head to toe in his unique and hilarious sense of humor. Julio Torres sees the world in a way that no one else does, and this special makes that abundantly clear. Once again, his mother and sister did all the set design for this special, so it’s a real family affair, and it is definitely another aspect of what makes this a must-see.
