Julianne Moore, Meghann Fahy, and Milly Alcock lead Netflix’s Sirens, a darkly comedic limited series premiering May 22, 2025.
Netflix is ready to dive into summer with Sirens, a bold and provocative new limited series premiering May 22, 2025. The five-episode dark comedy stars Julianne Moore, Meghann Fahy, and Milly Alcock, and comes from Emmy-nominated writer and showrunner Molly Smith Metzler, best known for her acclaimed work on Maid.
Sirens is a twisted and stylish exploration of power, class, and sisterhood, told over the course of one wild weekend. The story centers on Devon, who becomes increasingly suspicious of her sister Simone’s intense relationship with her new boss, the enigmatic socialite Michaela Kell (played by Moore). Simone is drawn deep into Michaela’s seductive and cult-like world of wealth and luxury. When Devon decides it’s time for an intervention, she quickly finds herself clashing with a dangerously powerful woman who doesn’t take kindly to being challenged.
The female-led series also features a stacked supporting cast, including Kevin Bacon as Michaela’s husband Peter Kell, Glenn Howerton, Bill Camp, and Felix Solis. The five one-hour episodes promise an incisive and darkly funny ride through manipulation, glamour, and the razor-sharp edges of female relationships.
Sirens marks the first series under Metzler’s creative partnership with Netflix and is based on her Juilliard-written play Elemeno Pea. She serves as writer, showrunner, and executive producer under her Quiet Coyote banner. The series is also executive produced by Margot Robbie, Tom Ackerley, and Dani Gorin for LuckyChap, with Nicole Kassell directing and executive producing the first two episodes.
Following the success of Maid, Metzler returns with another bold female-driven project, this time mixing biting satire and social commentary with psychological thrills.
Get ready for an unforgettable weekend at the Kells’ lavish island estate when Sirens premieres May 22, only on Netflix.
