Now the actor is adding yet another project to his resume, this time the HBO Max limited series DMZ.
The show is based on the DC comic book of the same name where Carter plays Odi, an orphaned boy who befriends a mother named Alma (Rosario Dawson) who’s trying to find her son (Freddy Miyares) after a civil war breaks out in America. The series also stars Benjamin Bratt as Parco Delgado.

Carter joined Benny Adams on Let’s Binge About It and discussed what it was like working on the series and other projects he has coming up.
Working with A-list actors is nothing new for Carter, but he says working with both Dawson and Bratt was an experience he will never forget.

“Rosario Dawson had so much energy and was probably the most energetic person on set, she made everyone feel comfortable. She would also always ask us how our day was going and was just so humble and nice. Benjamin Bratt was really cool and is such a chill person and extraordinary with his acting technique. I would love to have the chance to work with both of them again.” Explained Carter.
Since the premiere of the show, DMZ has been getting rave reviews, something that Carter couldn’t be happier about. But something else that has him on cloud 9 is the fact that he’s starring in a series based on a DC comic book.
“I’ve always wanted to work on a project that’s based on a DC comic but I never thought it would happen. When I first auditioned for DMZ I was happy to get the chance, but I never thought this day would come when I would see myself in a series based on a DC comic.” Said Carter.

DMZ isn’t the only project the actor has up his sleeve. On September 9th, he will be also be starring in Stephen King’s Salem’s Lot as Mark Petrie. The horror film follows a writer who returns to his childhood home to discover that residents are being turned into vampires.
“The project was amazing. Every day I had so much fun because I was slaying vampires all the time.”
Carter isn’t slowing down anytime soon when it comes to acting, and although he’s worked with some pretty big names, there is one actor, in particular, he would love to work with one day.
“I would love to work with Leonardo DiCaprio because not only does he seem like a nice person, but he has a lot of experience as an actor, and I believe I can learn a lot from him.”
DMZ is now streaming on HBO Max. Catch the full interview with Carson below.
