AFTERBUZZ TV – AfterBuzz TV’s Spotlight On edition, is a long form interview series featuring actors and TV personalities discussing their roles and shows as well as their thoughts, passions and journeys.In this episode host Yael Tygiel, interviews Jill Dictrow.
A native New Yorker who has resided in Los Angeles for the past 22 years with her two pre-teen children. She holds two Masters Degrees one in Television and radio from the New School of Social Research and recently attainted her Masters of Art in Counseling Psychology from Argosy University in Los Angeles. She is presently a Marriage and Family Therapist Intern working in two clinics with various populations. She started out working as a associate television producer on the Marilyn Kagan Show, a radio and licensed therapist. From there, segment producing court shows as Judge Judy, Animal Court, People’s Court and other shows.
Although Jill has been divorced over a decade now, back then was interested to find stories of inspiration from other divorced women and came up empty handed. She decided to take matters in her own hands and began writng a column “Mother May l?” for a writer’s website WWW-Dreflywiffy.com. Shortly thereafter, Jill was contacted by an editor of an erotica website and asked if she’d be interested to write an article. Always up for the challenge Jill agreed.
This was the opening of Pandora’s box. Since writing her first erotic tale, Jill has sold her short stories to AmiraPress, Oysters & Chocolate and Justus Roux’s Erotica’s tales. An accomplished writer, Jill co-wrote and co-executive produced a two-woman play titled “Dial Logs” at the Complex Theater in Hollywood, California. Kerry Deeney holds multiple consulting positions in Los Angles as Clinical Director two – child abuse prevention programs and a community mental health agency that primary focus is gay lesbian and transgender issues.
